Compost Crusader LLC will help your community group or organization to successfully plan and execute a low or zero waste events. Whether it is a block party, wedding, or fundraising event, we are here to work with any indoor or outdoor venue in planning and implementing your recycling efforts.
Compost and Compostable Bags
If you or your company is looking to get started in composting, we’ve got the supplies you need. Our compostable bags are certified meeting ASTM D6400 standards and are the perfect alternative to polyethylene bags. We also partner with some of Wisconsin’s top composters to provide quality compost for your projects.
We Are Growing!
Compost Crusader is out to expand the industry and create a compost site for the growing need to process all types of post-consumer food scraps.
We see the value in our waste. We are a small, woman-owned business from Milwaukee, WI that works to empower residents, institutions and businesses to divert food scraps from the landfill. We provide a curbside pick-up service and haul the material to a DNR approved compost site for processing.
Currently, there is only one DNR approved compost site in south eastern Wisconsin and recently they've placed limitations on what they accept, so we are looking to change that. Compost Crusader wants to build lasting green infrastructure by creating a compost site with the specific purpose of diverting post-consumer food scraps. In creating an alternative compost site, we'll be able to expand with growing diversion demands, keep nutrient-rich food out of landfills, and make composting more equitable.

Kompost Kids
Kompost Kids is a volunteer-run, nonprofit organization dedicated to transforming our “waste” stream through active landfill diversion and local disposal of food residuals and other compostables. Our mission is to educate the public, individuals, businesses, and institutions about the benefits of compost and to reclaim organic materials from landfills to create soil for community-based agriculture projects.

Compost Crusader provides a myriad of composting resources and services ranging from pickup, all the way to staff training and program implementation assistance.

The best way to support us in the midst of COVID-19 is by becoming a Compost Crusader!
The Compost Crusader Shop IS NOT a self drop compost location. A number of self drop locations have are unavailable to the public due to the COVID-19 virus. If you have material that needs to be composted, you must sign up for service to have it collected. Please do not trespass or illegally dump on Compost Crusader property.
